Representation in the port industry

PortXL is the world's first maritime accelerator that helps ports to achieve sustainable growth. Besides Rotterdam, there is a need in other ports and regions to link start-ups and innovations to companies located in ports in order to stimulate joint innovation. PortXL has been active in Singapore, Antwerp, and Taranto (Italy) with a unique approach in the maritime and port ecosystems.

As International Director of PortXL, Cees-Willem helped in setting up accelerator programs, focusing on the formation of consortia and the teams of the program. A specific 'business fast track' was also developed in Antwerp for scale-ups that set up concrete projects with program partners within 3 months.

Cees-Willem's maritime network and his extensive port experience come in handy in this type of public-private innovation program.
